A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION
YMCA Buffalo Niagara is a charitable not-for-profit health and human services organization founded to help people, not make a profit. We earn our tax exempt status every day by making available and accessible much needed services in the community.

SERVES ALL INCOMES, AGES, AND ABILITIES
YMCA Buffalo Niagara does not turn anyone away due to an inability to pay. Each year thousands of people in Western New York benefit from financial assistance from the YMCA. Annually, more than 15,000 children and families will benefit from the Strong Kids Campaign, providing financial aid for people who wish to participate in YMCA programs such as school age child care and summer camp, or to purchase a membership.

SERVES MORE THAN 100,000 YOUTH, FAMILIES, AND SENIORS ANNUALLY
People of all ages participate in a variety of activities at YMCA Buffalo Niagara, including swimming lessons, youth sports, vacation camps, Healthy Kids Day, summer camp, fitness, and other special events.

PROVIDES CHILD CARE FOR NEARLY 2,000 CHILDREN AT OVER 35 SITES
Nationally, the YMCA is the largest provider of child care in the country. Locally, each branch of YMCA Buffalo Niagara provides school age child care year round, serving nearly 2,000 children at over 35 sites.

RELIES ON VOLUNTEERS
YMCAs are volunteer founded, volunteer based and volunteer led. We couldn’t exist without our volunteers. At any given time, YMCA Buffalo Niagara receives assistance and guidance from approximately 150 volunteers.

LIVES UP TO ITS MISSION EVERYDAY
As the second-oldest YMCA in the country, established in 1852, YMCA Buffalo Niagara has a long history of serving all people in Western New York, people of all races, religions, incomes, and abilities. We weave our focus of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities in all our programming.
