YMCA
TURKEY TROT SEEKING
TROT GOBBLERS
YMCA Buffalo Niagara is
inviting Western New Yorkers to cheer on the
participants for the 115th annual YMCA Turkey
Trot. Held every Thanksgiving,
this time honored Western New York Tradition
welcomes over 12,000 participants to the 8K
course. This year we want the enthusiasm to
overflow and we are encouraging you to become a
Trot Gobbler!
Trot
gobblers are enthusiastic spectators who will
cheer on the participants to help create an
atmosphere of fun and excitement for all involved
as they travel down Delaware Ave. on Thanksgiving
morning. We invite all area community
organizations, block clubs, local businesses, high
school/college groups, athletic teams,
cheerleading squads, families - you name it-to
share their spirit at this year's event as Trot Gobblers!
Trot
Gobblers will be assigned to a pre-designated
section of Delaware Ave. from 9:00-10:30 am on
race day. Groups are strongly encouraged to bring
pompoms, noisemakers, balloons, signs, and wear
costumes to help enhance the overall Turkey Trot
experience. Groups will be provided with a contact
person in advance of the event who will be able to
answer any questions, provide suggestions and
assistance, and keep you updated on event
specifics as necessary.
In
recognition of your support, Trot Gobbler groups
will be invited to attend the celebration and
awards ceremony which immediately follows the race
at the Buffalo Convention Center where they will
be acknowledged for their participation. For more
information on having your group participate in
this iconic event, please contact Anne Reif
