Red Triangle Award
Luther Gulick M.D., a YMCA professional from the late 1800’s, believed that a “whole person” is one whose spirit, mind and body is in balance. Referencing the Bible verse “that they may all be one” (John 17:21), he designed the YMCA’s logo to include the inverted triangle, one side each for spirit, mind and body.
The Red Triangle Award is presented to a company or organization who has on a continual basis, provided significant support and resources, enabling the YMCA to carry out its mission of helping individuals and families reach their fullest potential in spirit, mind and body.
