Personal Fitness

At the Y, you are not just a number, you are a member. Meet one-on-one with our fitness staff for a personal introduction to our Wellness Center and assess your goals and how you can better achieve them. Our trained Wellness Center staff not only provide instruction on the proper use of the cardio equipment, but they lend guidance, support, and encouragement! As a new member of the Y you have the choice of one of two options: our Free Personal Fitness Program or Two Free Personal Training Sessions!

Free Personal Fitness Program

The Personal Fitness Program is designed for new and returning exercisers. The program lasts up to 4 weeks and includes weekly, individual meetings with a Y Strength Instructor who provides feedback and followup for your personalized program.

Two Free Personal Training Sessions

As a new Y member you are entitled to two ½ hour personal training sessions. Whether you want to manage your weight, participate in sports conditioning during the off-season, or live healthier, we have a personal training program for you.

A Bollywood-inspired dance-fitness program that combines dynamic choreography with the hottest music. Workout cycles between higher and lower-intensity dance sequences to get you moving, sweating, and motivated. At the very core of BollyX workout is the inspirations it draws from the music and dance of Bollywood, the film industry of India. We embody the infectious energy, expression and movement of Bollywood. Our fitness curriculum has been created by world-class choreographers and certified fitness professionals to ensure a safe and powerful total body dance workout for all.

Fusing elements of ballet, pilates and yoga. Freestyle barre is guaranteed to tone you in a low impact, high intensity setting. Focus is on postural strength and alignment, balance, upper body strength using light weights and lower body toning using a barre or chair. Mat workout completes the workout with an invigorating final stretch.

Pilates is a renowned method of body conditioning named after Joseph Pilates. This class will strengthen the body?s core muscles including the abdominals and the lower back. It will tone the body and increase flexibility. All exercises are done on a mat (no special equipment needed). All YMCA Pilates instructors have completed specialized training to teach the Pilates method.
