YMCA day camps offer convenient locations, a variety of programs and extended hours making YMCA summer camp ideal for working parents. YMCA camp staff are carefully selected and go through extensive training. All camps are health department certified and adhere to strict staff to camper ratios.

To make summercamp affordable to everyone, the YMCA offers both financial assistance and an Earn Your Way to Camp Candy Sale. Campers can earn part or all of their camp fees through the sale of candy bars. Fifty cents from each $1.00 candy bar sold goes directly towards the camp fee.

  • Young Explorers (ages 3 - 6): A fun and educational way for young children to spend their summer. Specially designed for pre-schoolers, campers enjoy instructional and recreational swimming, arts and crafts, outdoor play, story time and more.
  • Day Camp (ages 5 - 11): Campers have a terrific time throughout days filled with age-appropriate activities such as instructional and recreational swimming, weekly field trips, arts & crafts, sports, games, outdoor activities and more. Campers are divided into small age groups, each with its own staff, promoting individual growth and a sense of belonging.
  • Leaders-in-Training (Ages 12 - 13): A unique camp program specially designed for this age group. Teens work to develop their own curriculum under the direction of trained YMCA staff. Group interaction and peer development is stressed with an emphasis on leadership skills.
  • Counselors-in-Training (Ages 14 - 15): For those who enjoy working with children, this program offers our teen campers an opportunity to gain some real work experience and leadership skills under the close supervision of YMCA staff. CITs work alongside camp counselors to help prepare daily curriculum, lead activities and help supervise younger campers.
