YMCA Buffalo Niagara serves as a leading voice on health and well-being initiatives here in Western New York. Having fostered programs like the National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP), Growing Up Fit, The Weight is Over, LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, and so many others, the Y is able to identify the needs and concerns of people throughout our community. The Y is able to then address these key areas of concern through programs that help individuals lead healthier, more active lives. Forging unique collaborations with health insurance providers such as Independent Health, BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and Univera has also helped us to expand the number of Western New Yorkers we are able to positively impact.

For anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 430 calories*. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music helping you achieve much more than on your own! You?ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more..

A Bollywood-inspired dance-fitness program that combines dynamic choreography with the hottest music. Workout cycles between higher and lower-intensity dance sequences to get you moving, sweating, and motivated. At the very core of BollyX workout is the inspirations it draws from the music and dance of Bollywood, the film industry of India. We embody the infectious energy, expression and movement of Bollywood. Our fitness curriculum has been created by world-class choreographers and certified fitness professionals to ensure a safe and powerful total body dance workout for all.

Fusing elements of ballet, pilates and yoga. Freestyle barre is guaranteed to tone you in a low impact, high intensity setting. Focus is on postural strength and alignment, balance, upper body strength using light weights and lower body toning using a barre or chair. Mat workout completes the workout with an invigorating final stretch.

Pilates is a renowned method of body conditioning named after Joseph Pilates. This class will strengthen the body?s core muscles including the abdominals and the lower back. It will tone the body and increase flexibility. All exercises are done on a mat (no special equipment needed). All YMCA Pilates instructors have completed specialized training to teach the Pilates method.
