In addition, YMCA Camp Weona has highly qualified and specialized staff for each activity area to ensure the best learning experience for all campers.
Our staff are screened and trained intensively before camp starts and participate in workshops throughout the summer. Most importantly, YMCA Camp Weona's staff understands and values young people and is committed to helping campers develop in positive ways.

YMCA Camp Weona is an American Camping Association (ACA) accredited co-ed group work camp, inspected and certified annually by the NYS Health Department.

The American Camp Association is a non-profit organization that members join voluntarily. With this in mind, YMCA Camp Weona has been a member for over 15 years and on a semi-annual basis and is visited by this ACA. YMCA Camp Weona adheres to nearly 300 standards of operation in camping. The standards establish guidelines for needed policies, procedures and practices. The camp, then, is responsible for on-going implementation of those policies. These standards are recognized by the camp industry.
