Group Exercise Classes
Working out doesn’t have to mean logging solo time on the treadmill or elliptical machine! The Wellness Centers at each of our Y branches across Western New York offer group exercise classes, so our members can make fitness a healthy — and fun — part of their lifestyle. Classes offered at our branches include:

Fitness Programs Offered at the YMCA
The YMCA Weight Loss Program is designed to help people seeking a healthier weight achieve their goals by making small, modest changes to daily behaviors; forming sustainable healthy habits. Rather than advocate for specific or restrictive short-term solutions, this program helps participants build skills for successful lifestyle changes. Participants in this 12-week group-based program will discuss weekly topics such as balanced eating, physical activity, goal setting, positive psychology, and behavior change sustainability to self-design action plans and achieve weight loss goals.
Participants work with Y staff trained in supportive cancer care to safely achieve their goals such as building muscle mass and strength; increasing flexibility and endurance; and improving confidence and self-esteem. By focusing on the whole person and not the disease, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is helping people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind, and body.
